About NÅ

"Nå" means now in Norwegian, and is the essence of what this blog is about. Want to declutter and simplify your home? Start now. Dream of writing and being creative? Take the step now. Wish to spend more time cooking, reading or simply enjoying life with the ones you love? Do it now.

This is a process, and I'm only getting started. I don't have many answers yet, but I have questions and thoughts that I will share with you here. I know there are many of us out there who want to live more slowly and simply, and I hope to "meet" many of you here and get to know you. Maybe, with time, we will find some answers together?

About me

My name is Ane, and I live in Oslo, Norway. I like many things and am many things, but some of the most important may be:

I'm a single mother to my little boy, who is loving and fun, who likes trains and cats, and who also has autism and delayed cognitive development. This alone does not define him, but it means that our lives are different from many others.

I'm a teacher and take a great interest in education and children's living conditions, both here at home and internationally.

I love reading, listening to music and watching TV series, baking and talking. I also love trees, chocolate, looking up (the sky, the stars, the tops of buildings), lazy Saturday mornings and learning new things. Currently, I'm learning how to drive a car, and I'm trying to become a better cook.
